The Douglas Mine – Western District Victoria

The Douglas Mine is the closest example, in terms of land use, land forms and hydrology, to the proposed Glenaladale mine that we can find. The experiences of the people there are worrying. Even more so given that our soil structures appear to be more fragile, our land is more undulating and two river systems (the Mitchell and the Perry) as well as the Gippsland Lakes will be negatively impacted.
